A knife incident ( model answer)

Dear XXX,

Unfortunately, I'm not feeling great. Last week, someone in my class was hurt in a knife attack.
The incident happened at lunchtime. One boy was attacked by another boy after they had argued about a girl. The injured boy is now in hospital. The ohter one has been arrested. He later said he really regreted what he had done.

Everybody in my class was shocked, as neither of the boys had ever been violent before. We are all worried about knife crime now, and some of the teachers are talking about installing more metal detectors at the school gates.

I really hope that this never happens again. It would be good to talk about what happened sometime, so I'll give you a call later.

Although I haven't made any professional appearances, I have played in our school talent show. I did not win but I came second. All my friends think that if I were chosen, I would have many chances of winning the contest. Believe me, I'm a real showman.I would not disappoint anyone. I can also tell jokes and I make people laugh quite easily.
